Magic Garden, 2017

Original paper images and found object on canvas
36” x 36”

This artwork is a visual representation of the bright gardens that is full of blooming summer flowers, which are a natural scene in Ukrainian homes.

I meticulously organized and placed all plants in a pleasing overall composition, and each flower can be recognized as in a photographic representation of a realistic garden.

My inspiration for this collage comes from the flourishing summer gardens in Ukrainian towns, where all the flowers are tightly and happily located in the small plots of land in front of the homes. Therefore, this artwork is both happy and nostalgic to me at the same time.
